5th Annual Let Them Eat Cake Event
Saturday, April 24, 2010
7:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Children’s Museum
The Midwife Center (TMC) is planning its fifth annual Let Them Eat Cake! event, scheduled for Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.
The event features a cake decorating and tasting contest, an open wine and beer bar, entertainment and an amazing silent auction.
Tickets to the event are $40/person, the VIP, which starts at 6:30pm and features champagne and a cake decorating demonstration is $65/person.
A “Strive for Five” party pack includes 5 general admission tickets for only $150!
TMC has set high expectations for our upcoming Cake event! This is our FIFTH YEAR anniversary and we are very proud of our fundraiser—the single largest fundraising event hosted by TMC. We expect to attract at least 300 attendees and raise $15,000 for the Women’s Health Fund, which provides services to women who are under or uninsured.
The theme for the 2010 Let Them Eat Cake! event is “Five to Grow On.” Bakers will be asked to decorate their cakes in a way that is inspired by the number 5 and/or new life and growth. This could be interpreted literally, such as using 5 flavors, layers, or colors, or figuratively, such as planting seeds of change, or growing children and families!
3 of the LoF team are on the planning committee for this event! We hope you can join us!
Lot’s of Love!
