Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!! Love of Friends is just hours away and we couldn’t be more excited for this year’s celebration! Just a reminder that tickets will remain available at the door for $25 all evening long!

So remind your boyfriend, best friend, coworkers, and cat – This year’s party at Bakery Square (with Big Snow Big Thaw, Melinda, Art, Food, Drink, and Friends) is going to be bananas <3

LoF Founder Regina featured in Yinzpiration

Kate Stoltzfus, a Love of Friends friend for sure (she and husband Nik have attended the last 3 celebrations!) and all around amazing lady began a blog called Yinzpiration.  Kate interviews people she doesn’t know, or doesn’t know on a one-on-one basis.

Kate was kind enough to interview Regina for her blog!  Read the interview here!

Also, make sure to nominate someone for an interview for Yinzpiration!  Meet Kate and Nik  Stoltzfus 2.14.12 if not before!

Let Them Eat Cake invite!

Kelsey and I are co-hosting The Midwife Center’s premiere fundraiser, Let Them Eat Cake! The Love of Friends team is very involved with this project, and we hope to see you there!

Kesley is on the committee and co-hosting this year, and volunteered last year.

Regina is on the committee and co-hosting this year. Last year Regina chaired the event, and the year before that, was the budding host by working closely with the event chair. Regina is also on the Midwife Center board and chairs the Fundraising committee.

Carrie is on the committee this year and volunteered last year.

Bethany is on the board of the Midwife Center and has moved from being the treasurer to the Board VP. Bethany also recruited Regina to join the board.

Jordan was the official photographer of last year’s event.

Thank you, friends.

The LoF Team would like to thank the hundreds of friends that came out last night to SPACE Gallery and made Valentine’s Day what YOU wanted.  The Team had a blast dancing with everyone, meeting new friends and eating all the great food.

We look forward to seeing you next year!  Be sure to keep circling back to our website all year round–we have more surprised in store. We’ll also have photos up from last night, stories, more information about artists and vendors.

LoF Follow-up

Hello Friends,

Valentine’s Day may just happen once a year, but Love of Friends is a year-long process.  We spend almost a year planning Love of Friends, so we thought we’d do our best to keep you in the loop throughout the year as well!  Be sure to check back on this site for updates about next year’s LoF event.  It will be our 5th anniversary, so you know it will be great!

THANK YOU!  To everyone who came to LoF4 last Sunday!  THANK YOU to our incredible, awesomely talented artists and bands/dj, and our soup chefs, LUPEC,  and all of our positive volunteers who made this event possible.  THANK YOU to the Union Project who stepped up at the last minute and housed our event with only 2 days notice!  The space was perfect.

We loved spending Valentine’s Day with you!

Just in Time for V-Day

To celebrate the weekend’s impending holiday, NPR’s All Songs Considered has done a special “Break-up Songs” Show.  My favorite comment from the show is,”You know, we’re probably much more attached to these songs than the people we were trying to get over while listening to them.”

Enjoy the podcast for free here. Enjoy!
